Affirmative Action on Trial: Defending Diversity

In Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard, Harvard’s affirmative action policies are on trial. The lawsuit challenges the role of race in admissions, with plaintiffs arguing in favor of a completely colorblind application process while Harvard defends its use of race in a holistic review process to achieve diversity objectives. This panel discussed the legal and policy arguments in SFFA v. Harvard and the potential impact of this lawsuit on affirmative action policies across the country.
