Schools and FERPA: Things Can Get Complicated

January 30, 2017

Co-sponsored by YOUTHLAW

FERPA affects preK–12 and Higher Ed institutions. Administrators struggle to balance the need to protect student privacy with the benefits to data sharing for instructors and teachers. Instructors and teachers do not always know what data to protect and how to use it. This panel event focused on the law, the use and the policy surrounding FERPA and other privacy implications.
